Roles & Responsibilities
1. Project Planning and Scheduling: Develop detailed project schedules and plans using project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project).
Define project milestones, deliverables, and timelines in coordination with project stakeholders.
Ensure alignment of project schedules with overall project objectives and client requirements.
2. Resource Allocation and Management: Allocate resources (manpower, equipment, materials) effectively to meet project goals.
Monitor resource utilization and recommend adjustments to optimize productivity.
Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely availability of materials and equipment.
3. Risk Assessment and Management: Identify potential risks and uncertainties that may impact project schedules.
Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
Monitor and assess project risks throughout the project lifecycle.
4. Progress Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor project progress against established schedules and milestones.
Prepare regular progress reports for project stakeholders, highlighting deviations and recommending corrective actions.
Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to project management for decision-making.
5. Change Management: Evaluate change requests and assess their impact on project schedules.
Coordinate with project managers and stakeholders to implement approved changes.
Update project schedules and documentation accordingly.
6. Quality and Compliance: Ensure compliance with project specifications, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
Implement quality control measures to maintain high standards of workmanship and deliverables.
Document and track quality assurance activities throughout the project lifecycle.
7. Communication and Coordination: Facilitate effective communication among project teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
Participate in project meetings, workshops, and reviews.
Resolve conflicts or issues related to project schedules and resource allocation.
8. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains in project planning and execution.
Provide feedback and recommendations based on lessons learned from completed projects.
Support knowledge sharing and training initiatives within the project team.
Desired Candidate Profile
Qualifications and Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience as a Planning Engineer or Scheduler in Luxury Villa / high-rise construction projects.
• Minimum 10 years of experience as a Planning Engineer in Dubai (UAE).
• Experience in the Construction industry is preferred.
• Proficiency in project management software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or equivalent.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of construction methodologies, processes, and best practices.
