Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain schedules for Engineering, Procurement, fabrication, instillation, and Commissioning of Industrial plants;
• Draws up master/discipline schedule to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet client forecasted master schedule;
• Updates client through client-accepted/ sponsored software;
• Analyzes production specifications and construction data and performs mathematical calculations to determine material, tools, and human resource requirements for the schedule;
• Plans and schedules workflow for each craft and operation according to previously established client sequences and lead times;
• Plans sequence of fabrication, assembly, installation, and other operations for guidance of construction workers;
• Planner/Scheduler confers with Client & Company management to determine status of projects;
• Develop Progress Measurement Systems individually for Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning Disciplines;
• Maintain Delay Register and notify Management and Client regarding the effect of potential deviations to the schedule due to delays; and
• Perform Delay Analysis with suitable methods as part of EOT claims.
• Previous work experience in design and construction, and a background in civil, mechanical, or electrical engineering are useful, as is knowledge of multiple workstations on a production line.
• The planner/scheduler also must be able to work with databases, prepare reports, and communicate with other employees, staff, and customers regarding potential problems and schedule or production changes. Strong cost reporting skills and techniques;
• Experience in the identification, monitoring, and reporting of project risks;
• Ability to develop and update schedules, create reports, and provide analysis using Microsoft Project and Primavera;

Required Education & Experience

• B.Sc. in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial).
• At least 10 years of related work experience in scheduling, cost control, and quality management.
• Certified Project Management (PMP) certificate is desirable.
• Design & Project Experience on large-scale oil/gas and petrochemical capital projects.
• Has clearly demonstrated strong engineering competence.
• International Experience is required.
• MS Office (Excel and Word) and MS Project product competency required.
