:Job Summary:The Planning Engineer will be responsible for developing, managing, and monitoring project schedules, coordinating with various stakeholders, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective completion of civil construction projects. Develop detailed project schedules using planning software such as Primavera P6 or MS Project.
Establish project timelines, milestones, and deadlines in collaboration with project managers and other stakeholders.
Regularly update and maintain project schedules, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Resource Allocation:
Identify and allocate necessary resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, to meet project requirements.
Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of resources.
Monitoring and Reporting:
Track project progress against the baseline schedule and identify any deviations.
Prepare and present regular progress reports, including variance analysis and corrective action plans.
Conduct regular site visits to verify progress and ensure compliance with project plans.
Risk Management:
Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project delays and cost overruns.
Collaborate with project teams to resolve scheduling conflicts and issues promptly.
Coordination and Communication:
Liaise with project managers, engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure clear communication of project timelines and requirements.
Participate in project meetings and provide scheduling expertise and guidance.
Documentation and Compliance:
Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including schedules, progress reports, and change orders.
Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:Education:
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in planning and scheduling within the civil construction industry.
Proven experience with planning software such as Primavera P6 or MS Project.
