Responsibilities
Our newest opportunity is for a talented Planning Engineer, seconded to our Client from government sector in Doha, Qatar.
We envisage success in this role to include; Preparing Works Program Report i.e. the performance report for all Client's projects that identifies projects at risk from a performance perspective, promotes transparency through the business and helps in prioritization and Interventions leading to performance Improvement. Preparing and issuing individual section reports, which details the performance of scope, cost and contractor compliance, and highlights the high-risk project. Preparing the Cost Forecast Report to support the Finance Team in terms of the financial forecast, which allows the business to anticipate if the Department will achieve the budgeted target or else the actions in place to achieve the target. Preparing the Business-as-usual Report i.e. summary of Clients Activities (KPI Report, AM Report, Finance, WPR, She Qual Report) and the internal issues pertaining to the sections to be highlighted. Reviewing the Pre-flight framework schedule for the procurement process and discuss about the delay activity and forecasting the one-month look ahead. Creating baseline/updating of Progress for all the Clients Projects in Primavera P6. Conducting Section Review meetings in relation to High-risk projects with Sections based on the performance of the project. Updating Hit and Miss portal daily in order to make sure all the Baselines and approved Variation Order has been accounted, within the allowed time frame for monitoring and tracking purposes. Preparing preflight delay analysis report and presentation for Framework and Non Framework projects (all stages). Reporting the status of all Running projects to Engineering service Department. Preparing the Suppliers Report, which is rating the performance of contractor, based on the scorecards. Contributing for the preparation of President technical office Dashboard for Client's inputs in AA Dashboard. Adhering to Health and Safety Policy and Procedures within the workplace and comply to any new work instruction.
Qualifications
To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include 10+ years of relevant experience in engineering design and project management including minimum 3 years in construction industry, partnered with a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or relevant, from an accredited University or College program. Competent in Microsoft office packages and relevant project management software. E.g. Primavera preferred (Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, MS Access, Excel and Power point). Ability to produce Executives reports is compulsory Knowledge of Project Management and managing complex/multi contractor design projects preferred.
