Job Purpose:
The Planning Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining oil and gas project schedules, coordinating activities, and ensuring timely completion of projects. They will play a crucial role in optimizing project productivity, monitoring progress, identifying potential risks, and implementing effective mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules, including detailed work plans, resource allocation, and sequencing of tasks, in line with project objectives and timelines.
2. Collaborate with project stakeholders to identify scope changes, risk factors, and constraints that may impact project scheduling and effectively communicate the same to the project team.
3. Conduct regular project progress meetings to track and evaluate project milestones, deliverables, and targets, and update all relevant parties on the project's current status.
4. Review project documentation, engineering plans, and drawings to ensure compliance with project schedules and identify discrepancies or potential issues that may hinder project progress.
5. Analyze critical paths, resource utilization, and bottlenecks in the project schedule, and propose suitable corrective actions to optimize project efficiency and mitigate risks.
6. Coordinate with various internal and external teams, including project managers, contractors, and subcontractors, to ensure seamless project execution and alignment with project schedules.
7. Monitor project costs and expenses against planned budgets, highlighting any discrepancies or deviations, and providing insights on cost-saving opportunities.
8. Conduct risk assessments and develop contingency plans to mitigate potential risks and disruptions to project schedules, ensuring minimal impact on project timelines.
9. Provide support and guidance to project team members on planning-related matters, including adherence to project schedules, optimizing work processes, and resolving scheduling conflicts.
10. Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements in oil and gas project planning, and suggest improvements to enhance project planning and execution efficiency.
11. Invoicing the project work completion on every month on end of month.
12. Track the progress regularly to ensure the work was going under control or as planned.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferably in Mechanical, Civil, or Petroleum Engineering).
- Proven experience in project planning and scheduling within the oil and gas industry.
- Proficient in planning software/tools (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate complex data and identify potential risks.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with a keen eye for accuracy and the ability to identify and resolve scheduling conflicts.
- Knowledge of safety regulations, industry standards, and best practices in oil and gas project planning.
- Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and work effectively under pressure.

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED4,500.00 per month
