: Planning Engineer

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

Position Overview: As a Planning Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and managing project schedules and plans for our tower construction projects in Abu Dhabi. You will play a critical role in ensuring project timelines are met, resources are efficiently allocated, and project progress is monitored and reported accurately.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop project schedules, work breakdown structures, and resource allocation plans using scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6 ).
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to define project objectives, scope, and deliverables.
• Monitor project progress and performance against the established schedule and budget.
• Identify critical paths, risks, and opportunities to optimize project timelines and resource utilization.
• Prepare and update progress reports, variance analysis reports, and forecasting reports for management review.
• Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and construction teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and resources.
• Conduct regular meetings with project teams to review schedule updates, resolve issues, and mitigate delays.
• Analyze project data to support decision-making and provide recommendations for process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and health and safety regulations.
• Support the development of project control procedures and guidelines.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Planning Engineer in the construction industry, preferably with exposure to tower construction projects.
• 8-15 years of experience
• Proficiency in project scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines.
• Knowledge of construction methodologies, processes, and industry best practices.
• Proficiency in English; Arabic language skills are advantageous.
