The Role

Our Multi National Project Management Consultancy client has a new requirement for a well experienced Planning & Project Controls Lead / Manager to join their team in Abu Dhabi, UAE to work on high profile hospitality, commercial, retail and leisure / entertainment destinations build and refurbishment projects. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a Planning / Project Controls Lead / Manager on a mix of civil construction, refurbishment and fit out projects in the GCC and have a proven track record of working in recognised consultancy, PMC or client side Companies. This role is available for immediate joining and is a direct hire, permanent placement with our client. Key Responsibilities: o Proficiency in EoT claim analysis/assessment, earned-value analysis, risk assessment, preparing high-level reports, variance/trend analysis & productivity analysis, what-if scenarios, time impact analysis. o Solid experience in Delay analysis, f o orensic delay analysis Methodologies as per standard delay analysis guidelines such as retrospective Window Analysis. o Capability of setting up projects, advising clients about their project controls requirements, implementing processes and procedures, administering contracts in relation to programme/controls and claims, chairing workshops. o Ensure proactive project planning, stakeholder relations, and risk management takes place across projects o Planning/ Monitoring/ Claims/ Risks & Contracts functions handled as a Client Representative. o Review, analyze & control Master Development / EPC / Contractor Baseline programs. o Prepare & Analyze Risk / Recovery schedules & highlight Top Management with upcoming Risks & Impacts. o Analyze & monitor Baseline / Recovery / Weekly / Monthly programs & reports for contractors & sub-contractors. o Analyze EOT Claims for Contractors & responding all Contractual proceedings. o Preparation of MIS report, Project dashboard (KPI) Top Management Reporting. o Monitor & control Design/Procurement tasks. Prepare Project cost control deliverables (Cash flow, S curve). o Analyze and monitor site progress on the basis of database management. o Develop & monitor look ahead schedules for Project execution & Procurement management. o Drafting Contractual correspondence to Contractors/Consultants related to Progress, Time, and Contracts issues.



Requirements

• Minimum B.Sc degree in a relevant engineering discipline o Minimum of 12-15 years relevant experience and at least 3-5 in a recognised consultancy, PMC or client-side company o Demonstrable experience of Hospitality, commercial, retails, leisure / entertainment build, refurbishment and fit-out projects. o Candidates will demonstrate that they can not only use the software (eg Primavera P6) but understand how to plan, have chaired necessary workshops with functional managers, that they can articulate the plan to senior managers and have wider quantitative project controls experience. o Experience with Dubai and Abu Dhabi authorities permitting, and delay analysis is desirable. o Good Understanding of Critical Path and Delay Analysis Techniques and can perform time impact and claim analysis. o Certification in planning and scheduling of projects and in using Primavera applications (Primavera Project Management / P6 and Primavera Contract Management / Expedition) o Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite o Ability to handle complex situations with professionalism and confidentiality
