Planner - Marine with Industry Leader in Heavy Lifting and Transportation

Are you able to bring clarity to complex situations and meet customer expectations? In a planner marine role at Mammoet, youll have responsibility for ensuring there is a practical, organized method of executing engineering plans. You will need to establish the most effective way of coordinating all moving parts, and also be able to think on your feet if things change. WHAT YOU\'LL BE DOING
Coordinate day-to-day operational events of barges and tugs, maintaining constant communication with tug masters and barge supervisors.
Ensure all necessary manpower certifications are in place and tracked, along with third-party certifications and project compliance for equipment.
Plan manpower and resources/equipment efficiently according to project pipeline, considering commercial implications and potential outsourcing needs as per contract.
Schedule inspections for clients and coordinate on-hire/off-hire surveys for barges and tugs, liaising with procurement as needed.
Provide berthing/sailing instructions for marine spread to agents and ensure valid certificates are accessible at all times.
Complying with local legislation, internal procedures and guidelines
Achieving optimum resource utilization to execute the work
Ensuring work can be carried out safely and efficiently
WHAT YOU\'LL NEED
Professional level experience with OPS systems and MS Office suite. Basic level experience in HLT equipment and operations
English, fluent proficiency verbal and written
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in marine operations planning, preferably in the heavy lifting and transportation industry.
Evidence of experience in a similar role, ideally in any/some of the following sectors: civil engineering, construction, renewables, oil and gas, offshore, ports and mining
Six years of broad relevant experience, or 10 years of experience in the field. Knowledge of marine regulations and standards, particularly in the UAE and international waters.
Familiarity with commercial implications of projects and contract terms related to outsourcing.
Associate degree in a logistics or technical discipline
