Provides exceptional patient care and ensures patient confidentiality. Functions as a working supervisor, producing high quality diagnostic radiographs, and practicing radiation protection. Performs all Radiology procedures and provides exceptional patient care to patients of all ages. Process X-rays in a timely manner to assist physicians with the diagnostic process. Ensures the safe and efficient use of radiology equipment, taking action to resolve faults/issues. Adheres to and promotes compliance with radiation safety and protection policy and associated codes of practice, and takes appropriate action where non- compliance is evident. Handles patient complaints and problems with the help of clinic managers. Collaborates with the General Manager on all major problems. Ensures X-Ray Technologists are following imaging protocols and assists with implementing new techniques and protocols, reviews protocols periodically and amends them as required in collaboration with the Medical Director. Following a diagnostic test, Radiologists use their medical training and expertise to make a diagnosis based on the results. Communicate test results and their diagnosis to a patient’s primary physician through a written report. Oversees the activities of the Radiology technicians. Comply with the legal requirements and medical ethics of keeping the privacy and confidentiality in the form of images such as x-rays, ultrasound images and photographs or any other clinical records. No disclosure of any medical information revealed by a patient or discovered in connection with the treatment of a patient. Undertakes other similar or related duties as directed by the Manager.
