JOB OVERVIEW:

We are seeking an experienced Photo Printer Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in operating high-quality photo printing machines, including Epsilon, Noritsu, and Fuji/Agfa photo printers. The operator will be responsible for producing high-quality prints, ensuring smooth machine operation, and maintaining print quality standards. The role demands precision, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of the latest printing technologies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Machine Operation:

Operate Absolon, Noritsu, and Fuji/Aqua RGB photo printers to produce high-quality prints.

Monitor machine settings and configurations to ensure optimal print quality, color accuracy, and resolution.

Adjust printer settings, including color profiles, paper size, and media type, as per job requirements.

Print Quality Control:

Perform regular quality checks on printed materials to ensure color accuracy, sharpness, and consistency.

Troubleshoot and resolve print quality issues such as color fading, pixelation, or misalignment.

Maintain high standards of image reproduction and ensure all prints meet customer specifications.

Maintenance & Troubleshooting:

Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of printers and associated equipment to ensure smooth operation and minimize downtime.

Address printer malfunctions, perform minor repairs, and report major issues to the technical support team.

Keep a log of maintenance and repairs, and ensure the machines are in optimal working condition at all times

Manage print job queues, prioritize based on deadlines and production schedules.

Ensure timely and efficient delivery of completed print jobs.

Coordinate with other departments (e.g., design, production, and logistics) to ensure smooth operations.

Inventory & Supply Management:

Monitor the availability of printing materials such as photo paper, ink cartridges, and other consumables.

Assist in ordering and restocking materials to avoid production delays.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on experience operating Absolon, Noritsu, and Fuji/Aqua RGB photo printers in a commercial or professional printing environment.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

Hands on with CMYK technology.-Strong understanding of RGB color management and photo printing technologies.-Proficiency in adjusting printer settings, profiles, and paper types.-Ability to troubleshoot and resolve print quality issues independently.

Understanding of print resolution, DPI, color calibration, and color profiling techniques. Familiarity with photo paper types, ink systems, and media compatibility.
