Full-scale operations are set to launch in early 2025.Role overview: The Pharmacy Technician, reporting to the Supervisor, Pharmacy, assists in daily pharmaceutical operations by preparing and filling prescriptions, maintaining pharmacy inventory, and ensuring safe storage of medications in compliance DOH standards. Additionally, the role involves preparing intravenous solutions and admixtures, performing dosage calculations, and using aseptic techniques.Responsibilities
Assists in daily pharmaceutical operations, including preparation, checking, labelling, and distribution of medications in compliance with local and international standards.
Maintains pharmacy inventory by monitoring stock levels, placing orders, and removing outdated drugs.
Prepares intravenous solutions, extemporaneous medications, and admixtures using aseptic techniques and dosage calculations.
Identifies inappropriate dosing during medication calculations based on available dosage forms.
Formulates unit-dose tablets from bulk bottles using pre-packaging machines for accurate dosing.
Assists with pharmacy-related administrative tasks, such as filling prescriptions, typing labels, and filing charge slips.
Operates and maintains pharmaceutical equipment, conducting routine checks and calibrations per standard operating procedures.
Qualifications
Diploma in Pharmacy program of minimum 2 years course duration.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in the pharmaceutical field.
Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills possess knowledge of key pharmaceutical procedures and current best practices.
