This has established Danat Al Emarat as a regional referral center for women with high-risk pregnancies.Role overview Reporting to the Supervisor, Pharmacy, the Pharmacy Technician role is responsible for providing assistance in the daily pharmaceutical operations by executing pharmacy related and administrative activities including but not limited to preparation and filling of prescriptions, maintenance of pharmacy inventory and ensuring safe and secure storage conditions of pharmaceutical medications and supplies in line with MH and DOH/DHA policies, procedures, guidelines and standards. The incumbent is also responsible for preparing intravenous solutions, admixtures and medications by performing pharmaceutical dosage calculations and using aseptic techniques.Responsibilities
Assist in pharmaceutical operations, including preparation, double-checking, labeling, distribution, and delivery of medications in compliance with standards.
Manage pharmacy inventory by monitoring stock, placing and expediting orders, verifying deliveries, and removing outdated drugs.
Prepare intravenous solutions, extemporaneous medications, and admixtures using aseptic techniques and accurate dosage calculations for patients of all ages.
Execute administrative tasks such as filling prescriptions, typing labels, and maintaining charge slips and medication records.
Monitor and record storage conditions like temperature and humidity, ensuring the safe storage of medications and supplies.
Operate, maintain, and perform routine checks and calibrations on pharmaceutical equipment to prevent malfunctions.
Provide medication and pharmacological information to patients and caregivers while maintaining accurate records of all pharmacy activities and incidents.
QualificationsA Diploma in Pharmacy with a minimum course duration of two years is required, along with at least two years of post-qualification experience in the pharmaceutical field. Completion of a recognized specialty qualification as per DOH/DHA certification guidelines and a valid DOH/DHA Medical License.
