OverviewReporting to the Supervisor/Director, Pharmacy / Pharmacist II/III / Senior Pharmacist, the Pharmacist I is responsible for performing the daily pharmaceutical operational activities including but not limited to preparing, compounding and dispensing medication to patients in adherence to prescriptions issued by physicians and in line with M42 and DOH/DHA policies, procedures, guidelines and standards.Responsibilities
Performs the daily pharmaceutical operations including but not limited to activities related to preparation, verification, compounding, packaging, labelling, appropriate dispensing and delivery of medications in compliance with the relevant rules and regulations.
Prepares medications by reviewing and interpreting the physicians medication orders and prescriptions and detects any therapeutic incompatibilities.
Prepares and labels pharmaceuticals and verifies medication order entries, charges and inspections in line with the pharmacy operational requirements.
Assists in implementing clinical programs, initiatives and services to ensure patient safety and quality healthcare delivery and participates in educational and research activities Protects patients and Pharmacy caregivers by adhering to infection-control protocols.
Provides support to the Pharmacy team in all logistics related activities.
Develops and maintains proper documentation on patient medication profiles in an accurate and timely manner.

QualificationsEDUCATION
BSc in Pharmacy
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 2 years of experience post qualification in the pharmaceutical field
Completion of specialty qualification as per the recognized specialty certificate (DHA/DOH Guidelines)
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE
DOH/DHA Medical License
