OverviewFacility overview Danat Al Emarat Hospital is one of very few to encompass a Fetal Medicine Department along with a fullfledged Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Level III, providing care for the most fragile newborns. This has established Danat Al Emarat as a regional referral center for women with high-risk pregnancies.Role overview This role is responsible for performing the daily pharmaceutical operational activities including but not limited to preparing, compounding and dispensing medication to patients in adherence to prescriptions issued by physicians and in line with M42 and DOH/DHA policies, procedures, guidelines and standards.Responsibilities
Perform daily pharmaceutical operations, including preparation, verification, compounding, packaging, labeling, dispensing, and delivery of medications in compliance with regulations.
Review and interpret physiciansxe2x80x99 medication orders to prepare and label pharmaceuticals while identifying therapeutic incompatibilities.
Verify medication order entries, charges, and inspections as per pharmacy operational requirements.
Assist in clinical programs and initiatives to ensure patient safety, support quality healthcare, and participate in educational and research activities.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient medication profiles.
Manage records for controlled substances and remove outdated or damaged drugs from inventory.
Support patients and their families with medical counseling and adhere to infection-control protocols.
QualificationsThe role requires a minimum of two years of post-qualification experience in the pharmaceutical field, completion of a recognized specialty qualification in line with DHA/DOH guidelines, and possession of a valid DOH/DHA license.
