Position Summary:
The pharmacist ensures safe and effective medication management for patients undergoing surgical procedures, complying with all relevant regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Medication Management:
• Prepare and dispense medications.
• Ensure accurate labeling and documentation.
• Monitor for drug interactions, allergies, and contraindications.
Patient Care:
• Counsel patients on medication use.
• Conduct medication reconciliation for pre- and post-operative patients.
• Develop and implement individualized medication plans.
Regulatory Compliance:
• Maintain compliance with pharmacy regulations.
• Properly store, handle, and dispose of medications.
• Conduct regular medication inventory audits.
Clinical Support:
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings.
• Provide drug information and education to clinic staff.
• Assist in developing clinical protocols and guidelines.
Quality Assurance:
• Monitor and report adverse drug reactions and medication errors.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Review and improve pharmacy operations.
Inventory Management:
• Manage medication inventory levels.
• Coordinate with suppliers and place orders.
• Check expiration dates and rotate stock.
Qualifications:
• Education: Pharm.D. degree from an accredited institution; active pharmacist license.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-4 years in a clinical pharmacy setting, preferably in surgery or outpatient clinics.
• Skills: strong clinical knowledge, excellent communication, ability to work in a team, detail-oriented.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED6,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month
