Job Descripon:
To obtain a license to practice the profession, the following required documents must be submitted to the General Administration of Agriculture Affairs in the area where the establishment is located.
- A copy of a valid passport (for non-Saudis)
- Educational Qualification
- Five-year experience certificate
- Three (3) recent color photos of the veterinarian, size (6x4)
- Attestation of all certificates from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Saudi Embassy in the country of residence
1.1. Provides examination, diagnosis, and treatment of animals’ medical issues. (Pets Animals)
1.2. Promote preventative care by advocating and administering routine vaccinations, treatment plans, and prognosis and educating clients on positive diet, training, and lifestyle
choices for pets.
1.3. Prescribe medication and advise pet owners on nutrition, preventative and general care.
1.4. Conduct laboratory tests on specimens, diagnostic imaging, blood tests and ultrasound tests to
diagnose medical conditions and determine the best treatment.
1.5. Performing Soft Tissue & Orthopedic surgeries, dressing and treating wounds, and prescribing medication.
1.6. Improving patients’ dental health by performing checkups, and scaling and extracting teeth.
1.7. Administer vaccinations and euthanizing patients.
1.8. Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statues, policies and procedures.
1.9. Maintain medical records. Documenting and updating forms, diseases reports and others
animal reports related.
1.10. Supervise nursing care of post-surgical patients as well as clinic medical patients. 1.11. Assist senior/chief veterinarian in defining and implementing an effective rabies control
program, overseeing boarding and grooming services through the function of the boarding
coordinator.
1.12. Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications:
1.1. Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree.
1.2. Appropriate state licensure.
1.3. Current valid license to practice in their country of origin.
1.4. Current valid license and eligibility to obtain a valid license, to practice in the Kingdom of
Saudi Arabia.
1.5. Minimum of five-year (5) practices in general veterinary disciplines, both surgical and medical.
1.6. Experience conducting various types of surgeries, vaccinations, and health checks on animals.
1.7. Ability to make prudent decisions regarding the welfare and well-being of animals. 1.8. Outstanding communication skills with the ability to explain medical terms and conditions
using simple language.
1.9. Documented postgraduate or continuing education credits are desirable. 1.10. Extensive experience in small veterinary medicine and surgery is required. 1.11. Current inoculations for both tetanus and rabies.
1.12. Comfortable being around animals (cats, dogs, etc.)
1.13. Strong affinity and patience for animals.
1.14. Knowledge of medical equipment (e.g. X-Ray machines, radiography) and anesthesia
procedures.
