Job Summary

A Pest Control Specialist is responsible for identifying, preventing, and eliminating pests in residential and commercial properties. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, service skills, and adherence to safety regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Pest Identification and Inspection:

o Conduct thorough inspections of properties to identify pest infestations.

o Accurately identify various pests, such as rodents, insects, and rats.

o Assess the severity of infestations and determine the appropriate course of action.

• Pest Control Treatment:

o Apply a variety of pest control methods, including chemical treatments, baits, traps, and exclusion techniques.

o Follow safety protocols and regulations while handling pesticides and other chemicals.

o Mix and apply chemicals according to label instructions and industry standards.

o Maintain accurate records of treatments and chemical usage.

• Equipment Maintenance:

o Maintain and clean pest control equipment, including sprayers, foggers, and traps.

o Ensure equipment is in proper working order and calibrated accurately.

o Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Pest Control Supervisor

A Pest Control Supervisor oversees a team of pest control technicians, ensuring efficient and effective pest control operations. This role involves planning, scheduling, training, and quality control to maintain high standards of service.

Responsibilities:

• Team Management:

o Train new technicians.

o Assign tasks and schedules to ensure efficient workload distribution.

o Monitor team performance and provide coaching and feedback.

o Address employee concerns and resolve conflicts.

• Operational Planning:

o Develop and implement effective pest control strategies.

o Create and maintain detailed service schedules.

o Monitor inventory levels of chemicals and equipment.

o Coordinate with clients to schedule appointments and address concerns.

• Quality Control:

o Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards.

o Review service reports and identify areas for improvement.

o Implement corrective actions to address any deficiencies.

• Safety and Compliance:

o Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

o Conduct regular safety training sessions for the team.

o Maintain accurate records of chemical usage and disposal.

• Financial Management:

o Monitor and control operational costs.

o Prepare and submit accurate reports on expenses and revenue.

o Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.

• Skills:

o Strong leadership and management skills.

o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

o Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

o Knowledge of pest control techniques and industry regulations.

o Proficiency in computer skills, including software for scheduling and reporting.

o Valid driver's license.
