Zaya Al Fanar is a dynamic and forward-thinking school in Dubai, offering a child-centered, research-driven approach to education. Rooted in neuroscience and child development, our curriculum emphasizes movement, hands-on learning, and physical exploration as essential components of holistic education.
Our inspirational campus is designed to connect children with nature, providing outdoor learning spaces, a thriving Forest School, and movement-based activities to ensure students develop coordination, strength, and confidence in an engaging and supportive environment.
We are looking for a passionate and developmentally informed PE teacher who understands the importance of movement in cognitive, social-emotional, and physical development. The ideal candidate will be open-minded, adaptable, and committed to fostering a love of movement in students of all abilities.
The Role
As a PE Teacher at Zaya Al Fanar, you will:
Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate physical education lessons that focus on movement, coordination, and physical confidence.
Understand child development stages and tailor PE activities to support gross motor skill progression across age groups.
Encourage collaborative, inclusive, and joyful physical activity, ensuring all children feel capable and engaged.
Integrate movement-based learning into the wider curriculum, working closely with classroom teachers to support cross-curricular connections.
Make use of indoor and outdoor environments, including our Forest School space, to facilitate exploratory and nature-based movement activities.
Foster a positive, growth-oriented mindset in students, helping them develop resilience, teamwork, and self-confidence.
Support children in understanding the connection between movement, well-being, and learning.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
? A degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field.
? A teaching qualification (PGCE, B.Ed, or equivalent).
? At least 2 years of experience teaching PE in a primary or early years setting.
? A strong understanding of child development and how movement supports learning.
? A flexible, open-minded approach to teaching PE in non-traditional settings (e.g., Forest School, outdoor education).
? The ability to differentiate instruction and create inclusive, engaging PE experiences for students of all abilities.
? A commitment to fostering a love of movement, rather than a focus solely on competition.
What We Offer
A supportive, child-centered teaching environment.
An inspirational, nature-rich campus designed for outdoor and movement-based learning.
A pioneering school integrating physical education with holistic, research-driven teaching.
A collaborative and forward-thinking team.
Competitive salary and benefits package.
