The Physical Education (PE) Coordinator is part of the senior leadership team and reports directly to the principal. Key Relationships:
- Heads of Section (HOS)
- Heads of Department (HOD)
To develop, implement, maintain, and adapt the schools physical education program to meet the needs of all learners. Responsibilities: 1. PE Program Creation:
- Guide PE teachers in creating a curriculum framework aligned with the schools vision.
- Advise on lesson planning and teaching methods to enhance physical education.
- Align the PE curriculum with core standards for each grade level.
- Refine the PE curriculum using data to meet diverse learner needs.
- Ensure the curriculum supports 21st-century skills, including teamwork and fitness.
- Collaborate with the Achievement Leader and EAL Team to adapt the curriculum for all students, including those with special needs and EAL students.
- Continuously evaluate and improve the PE curriculum.
- Ensure compliance with UAE Frameworks for Inspection and Inclusion.
- Implement professional development for PE staff.
- Integrate innovative and digital learning tools into the PE curriculum.
- Collaborate on extracurricular sports and physical activities.
- Provide ongoing training and CPD for PE staff.
- Lead on the implementation of UAE inspection standards related to PE.
- Knowledge of physical education standards and best practices.
- Ability to adapt the MoE PE curriculum.
- Understanding of teaching methods and curriculum development.
- Proficiency in using technology for data gathering and reporting.
- Bachelors degree in Physical Education or related field; Masters preferred.
- Minimum of five years experience as PE Teacher.
- Familiarity with the US Curriculum is advantageous.
- Dibba Al-Fujairah: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
- Bachelor's (Required)
- Teaching in an US Curriculum: 4 years (Preferred)
- PE Teaching: 5 years (Required)
- English (Required)
