Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist with an HR background for our client. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll while also supporting HR functions. This role requires proficiency in payroll systems, a solid understanding of HR policies and procedures, and the ability to work closely with both employees and management to address payroll-related inquiries and issues.Key Responsibilities:xc2xb7 Process payroll on a bi-weekly/monthly basis for employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws.xc2xb7 Calculate and verify wages, bonuses, deductions, and other payroll-related adjustments.xc2xb7 Ensure timely and accurate tax filings and submission of necessary documentation to government agencies. o Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements.xc2xb7 Assist with HR functions such as employee onboarding, benefits administration, and maintaining employee records.xc2xb7 Support HR team with employee data management, ensuring all records are updated and compliant with legal requirements.xc2xb7 Coordinate and assist with employee leave management (sick leave, vacation, maternity/paternity leave, etc.).xc2xb7 Handle inquiries from employees regarding payroll, benefits, and other HR-related matters. o Generate payroll reports, including earnings, deductions, and tax withholdings for management review.xc2xb7 Maintain and update payroll records, ensuring proper documentation for audits and compliance purposes. o Provide support during internal and external audits, ensuring payroll compliance is met.xc2xb7 Coordinate with HR, finance, and management teams to ensure seamless communication and accurate payroll processing.xc2xb7 Resolve payroll-related issues, such as discrepancies in pay or benefits, in a timely manner.xc2xb7 Ensure that all HR and payroll data is confidential and handled according to company policies and legal requirements.Requirements:xc2xb7 Bachelorxe2x80x99s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field. o Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist Minimum 5 years.xc2xb7 Some exposure to HR functions and an understanding of HR policies and practices. o Strong knowledge of payroll processes, tax regulations, and benefits administration.xc2xb7 Familiarity with HR functions such as onboarding, leave management, and employee records.xc2xb7 Experience with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Workday, QuickBooks) and HR systems.xc2xb7 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.xc2xb7 Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.xc2xb7 Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) for payroll data management and reporting.xc2xb7 Experience with HRIS (Human Resource Information Systems) is a plus.xc2xb7 Strong organizational and time-management skills.xc2xb7 Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.xc2xb7 High degree of integrity and professionalism in handling sensitive information.
