Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Payroll Assistant to join our dynamic HR team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in payroll preparation and processing for a large workforce, preferably with experience handling payroll for over 1300 employees. In addition to expert knowledge of UAE labour laws, the candidate should be proficient in using HR software systems and have a deep understanding of overtime calculations, including normal day overtime, weekend overtime, and holiday overtime.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process payroll for over 1300 employees with accuracy and in a timely manner.
• Ensure compliance with UAE Labour Law while processing payroll, overtime, and other related benefits.
• Accurately calculate and manage various types of overtime: normal day, weekend, and holiday overtime.
• Maintain and update payroll records, ensuring all employee data is current and correct.
• Process leave accruals, deductions, and other benefits as per company policies.
• Coordinate with HR and Finance departments to resolve any payroll discrepancies.
• Provide payroll-related reports and analysis as needed by management.
• Handle employee inquiries related to payroll, tax, and deductions.
• Ensure timely submission of all statutory payments (e.g., end-of-service benefits, pension, etc.).
• Stay up-to-date with changes in UAE Labour Laws and ensure that payroll practices are compliant.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in payroll processing within the UAE.
• Expertise in using HR software systems (experience with [insert relevant software name, e.g., SAP, Oracle, etc.] is a plus).
• Strong knowledge of UAE Labour Law, specifically regarding overtime, leave, and employee benefits.
• Proven experience processing payroll for large employee numbers (1300+ employees).
• In-depth understanding of various types of overtime calculations, including normal day overtime, weekend overtime, and holiday overtime.
• Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy in data processing.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive payroll information.
• Proactive and solution-oriented mindset with the ability to resolve issues efficiently.

Preferred Skills:

• Additional certification or training in payroll or HR is a plus.
• Knowledge of VAT and other tax-related calculations as applicable in the UAE.
