Position Overview

:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Digital Senior Pattern Cutter based in Dubai to join our team at SPAARKD.

This is a unique opportunity to work across a diverse range of collections, including Cut&Sew, Wovens and tailoring made for Production. As part of our creative team, you will play a critical role in developing, finalizing, and ensuring the accuracy of patterns. Working collaboratively with the Design and PD team.

We collaborate with various factories globally, so it's crucial for this role to have experience with digital tools, including CAD and 3D simulation software.

Key Responsibilities

:

Create and interpret patterns based on design sketches, technical drawings, or prototypes for various garments. Cut and modify patterns by hand or using CAD software to ensure precise and efficient garment production. Collaborate closely with the design and production teams to ensure patterns meet technical specifications and garment fit. Grade patterns to different sizes, ensuring that proportions, design lines, and fit are consistent across size ranges. Ensure the correct fit and finish of patterns, making adjustments to the patterns as necessary during fittings and samples. Perform pattern alterations or modifications based on feedback from designers or production teams. Maintain accurate pattern records and ensure all changes are documented and communicated clearly to the production team. Work with fabrics, ensuring efficient pattern layout and fabric usage to minimize waste. Conduct fittings and adjust patterns based on fit sessions, making sure the garment fits the intended body shape and meets design requirements. Keep up-to-date with the latest pattern cutting techniques, tools, and technology.

Requirements

:

Proven experience as a Pattern Cutter in the fashion or garment industry. Strong knowledge of pattern cutting techniques, both manual and digital (CAD systems such as Gerber, Lectra, CLO3D or Optitex). Attention to detail and a strong ability to understand and interpret design concepts. Solid understanding of grading techniques and size conversion. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt patterns based on fitting feedback or production constraints. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines and changing priorities. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with designers, production staff, and other team members. Knowledge of fabric properties and how they affect pattern cutting, garment fit, and drape. Familiarity with fabric waste reduction techniques and an understanding of sustainability in fashion production is a plus. Experienced in using clo3d simulating the pattern as 3D A relevant degree or qualification in fashion design, pattern cutting, or garment technology is preferred.

Bonus Points

Experience working in bespoke or high-end fashion production. Familiarity with sustainable and ethical fashion practices.
