Job Description

We are seeking a talented and creative Pastry Chef to lead our pastry section. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing a variety of desserts, pastries, and other baked goods, ensuring top quality and presentation. The Pastry Chef will innovate new recipes, supervise the pastry team, and maintain the highest standards of hygiene and safety in the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and present high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods.
• Develop new and seasonal recipes to keep the menu exciting and fresh.
• Customize cakes, pastries, and desserts as per client or guest requirements.
• Supervise and train pastry team members to maintain consistency and quality.
• Assign daily tasks to ensure smooth operations in the pastry section.
• Conduct regular evaluations and provide feedback to pastry staff.
• Ensure all desserts and pastries meet the restaurant's quality and presentation standards.
• Conduct taste testing and adjust recipes to perfection.
• Monitor ingredient freshness and ensure proper storage to maintain product integrity.
• Manage inventory of baking supplies, ingredients, and equipment.
• Coordinate with suppliers to source high-quality products.
• Monitor costs and minimize waste to adhere to budget guidelines.
• Ensure adherence to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized pastry area in compliance with health regulations.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role in a reputable establishment.
• Expertise in various baking techniques and pastry preparation.
• Creative flair for designing unique and appealing desserts.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Education and Experience:

• Culinary degree or equivalent qualification in Pastry Arts is preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: AED2,000.00 - AED2,500.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Sharjah: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
