\xc2\xb7 Pastry chefs are responsible for the creation, decoration, and presentation of desserts such as cakes, pastries and pies. General duties include ordering ingredients and supplies for the restaurant to hiring employees to assist in the production of pastry goods and other aspects of the business. \xc2\xb7 Achieve smooth operation of the Pastry, Bakery and Goods Receiving sections by optimising the use of materials and manpower, thereby maximising revenue and guest satisfaction. \xc2\xb7 Set good example, to enhance motivation of colleagues and reach the mission \xc2\xb7 Complete material checklist e.g. mise-en-place within own department for all sections. \xc2\xb7 Monitor Pastry / Bakery operating costs and take corrective action when necessary in order to reduce expenses. \xc2\xb7 Develop menus, buffets (where applicable) and "specials" which meet the needs of the target market and are in line with the operating concept for the restaurant. \xc2\xb7 Carry out administrative duties to maintain an efficient workspace REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS: \xc2\xb7 Bachelor\'s degree or 2-years college diploma in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major \xc2\xb7 Previous working experience as Pastry Chef for 5 years. \xc2\xb7 Great attention to detail and creativity \xc2\xb7 Friendly attitude \xc2\xb7 Strong passion for the art of food design.
