We are seeking a talented Pastry Chef to join our dynamic team and play a key role in our mochi ice cream production process. The ideal candidate will be passionate about pastry arts, have a keen eye for detail, and possess excellent organizational and teamwork skills. The Pastry Chef will work closely with our production team to ensure the consistent quality and timely production of our mochi ice cream products.
Responsibilities:
• Recipe Development: Develop and refine recipes for mochi dough and ice cream fillings, ensuring the perfect balance of flavors, textures, and consistency.
• Production Management: Oversee the production process from start to finish, including dough preparation, filling assembly, and freezing, to meet daily production targets while maintaining high standards of quality.
• Quality Control: Conduct regular quality checks on ingredients, finished products, and production processes to ensure compliance with food safety standards and product specifications.
• Innovation: Stay updated on industry trends and culinary innovations to continually improve and innovate our mochi ice cream offerings, introducing new flavors and concepts.
• Team Leadership: Provide guidance and support to production staff, including training on pastry techniques, equipment operation, and food safety practices, to ensure a cohesive and efficient team environment.
• Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, coordinate with suppliers for timely replenishment, and minimize waste through effective inventory control measures.
• Compliance: Adhere to all food safety regulations, sanitation guidelines, and company policies to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Qualifications:
• Culinary Degree or Equivalent Experience: Formal training in pastry arts or a related field is preferred, but relevant work experience will also be considered.
• Pastry Expertise: Proven experience in pastry production, preferably in a commercial kitchen or food manufacturing setting, with a strong understanding of dough preparation, freezing techniques, and dessert assembly.
• Creativity: Demonstrated ability to develop innovative and delicious pastry recipes, with a passion for experimenting with new flavors and ingredients.
• Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and precision in measuring ingredients, executing recipes, and ensuring consistent product quality.
• Team Player: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and lead by example.
• Time Management: Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced production environment, prioritizing tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
• Food Safety Knowledge: Understanding of food safety principles and best practices, with certification in food handling and sanitation preferred.
• Adaptability: Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, as production demands require.
• Language Skills: Proficiency in English & Hindi is required
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 24 months
Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED4,000.00 per month
