We are currently seeking a highly skilled and passionate Pastry Chef and Waffle Maker to join our team in Dubai, UAE. As a Pastry Chef and Waffle Maker, you will be responsible for creating and preparing a variety of pastries, desserts, and waffles to meet customer demands and ensure customer satisfaction. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work station, managing inventory, and adhering to all food safety and sanitation guidelines. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pastry and dessert preparation, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and bake a variety of Cakes, pastries, desserts, crepes and waffles according to established recipes and standards.
2. Decorate and present pastries and desserts in an appealing and creative manner.
3. Monitor and maintain inventory levels of pastry ingredients and supplies.
4. Collaborate with the team to develop new pastry and dessert menu items.
5. Ensure that all food safety and sanitation guidelines are followed at all times.
6. Maintain a clean and organized work station, including all equipment and utensils.
7. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those regarding quality assurance and food preparation.
8. Assist with training and mentoring junior pastry chefs and kitchen staff.
9. Stay updated on industry trends and new techniques in pastry and dessert preparation.
10. Provide excellent customer service and address any customer concerns or special requests.
Preferred Candidate:
1. Proven experience as a Pastry Chef and Waffle Maker or similar role.
2. In-depth knowledge of pastry and dessert preparation techniques and trends.
3. Strong creativity and ability to develop unique and innovative pastry and dessert menu items.
4. Good time management and organizational skills.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
7. Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
9. Certification or degree in culinary arts or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
10. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines.
