URGENT ! We are looking for an experienced Pastry Chef (HOT) to prepare a variety of breads, sandwiches fillings and savory canapes. (UAE EXPERIENCE IS MUST) \xc2\xb7 Manages all day-to-day operations of the pastry and bakery section of the kitchen. \xc2\xb7 Prepare a wide variety of breads, sandwiches filling , savory canapes etc. following traditional and modern recipes. \xc2\xb7 Able to produce all baked goods including but not limited to artisan breads and rolls, muffins, laminated Danish, laminated croissants and doughnuts etc. \xc2\xb7 Able to develop, designs, or creates new ideas and items for Pastry Kitchen and Come up with recipe ideas from scratch \xc2\xb7 Create new and exciting products to renew the menus and engage the interest of customers \xc2\xb7 Plan the menu of sandwiches and pastry to complement savoury item \xc2\xb7 Ensure excellent quality. \xc2\xb7 Follows proper handling and right temperature of all food products. \xc2\xb7 Coordinates activities of cooks and workers engaged in food preparation. \xc2\xb7 Supervise and coordinate all pastry and food preparation and presentation. \xc2\xb7 Checks the quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure that standards are met. \xc2\xb7 Assists in determining how food should be presented and creates decorative food displays. \xc2\xb7 Monitor stocks for baking ingredients such as flour, sugar etc. and make appropriate orders within budget. \xc2\xb7 Check quality of material and condition of equipment and devices used for cooking. \xc2\xb7 Report all equipment problems and maintenance issues, known safety hazards, or unsafe practices and procedures to supervisor immediately. \xc2\xb7 Attends all scheduled employee meetings and brings suggestions for improvement. \xc2\xb7 Must possess a positive attitude and have the ability to work with a variety of people and in cooperation with co-workers efficiently and effectively \xc2\xb7 Able to recognize superior quality products, presentations and flavours. \xc2\xb7 Ensures compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. \xc2\xb7 Operates and maintains all department equipment and reports malfunctions. \xc2\xb7 Maintains cleanliness and organization in all work areas. \xc2\xb7 Encourages and builds mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members. \xc2\xb7 Serves as a role model to demonstrate appropriate behaviours. \xc2\xb7 Ensure compliance with food hygiene and Health and Safety standards. \xc2\xb7 Guide and motivate pastry assistants and bakers to work more efficiently. \xc2\xb7 Maintain a lean and orderly cooking station and adhere to health and safety standards. \xc2\xb7 Ensuring Culinary Standards and Responsibilities are met for Pastry Team. \xc2\xb7 Maintain up to date knowledge about pastry arts and ingredients \xc2\xb7 Carry out administrative duties to maintain an efficient workspace \xc2\xb7 Supervising and training staff members, when needed.
