Job summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Cardiologist with knowledge in Diabetes and Endocrinology to join our interdisciplinary team. You will play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive care to patients with cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, and endocrine disorders, ensuring integrated management and optimal patient outcomes. Responsibilities:
- Contribute your expertise in cardiology, diabetes, and endocrinology to provide comprehensive care and improve outcomes for patients with complex cardiovascular and metabolic conditions.
- Perform thorough cardiovascular assessments, including medical history review, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests, to evaluate and diagnose cardiac conditions in patients with diabetes and endocrine disorders.
- Collaborate with endocrinologists and other specialists to assess and manage the cardiovascular implications of diabetes, metabolic syndrome, thyroid disorders, adrenal disorders, and other endocrine conditions.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for patients with coexisting cardiovascular diseases and diabetes/endocrine disorders, incorporating evidence-based strategies to address their complex health needs.
- Prescribe medications, lifestyle interventions, and therapies to optimize glycemic control, manage cardiovascular risk factors, and prevent cardiovascular complications in patients with diabetes and endocrine disorders.
- Perform and interpret cardiac diagnostic tests and imaging studies, such as electrocardiograms (ECGs), echocardiograms, stress tests, and cardiac catheterizations, to guide treatment decisions and monitor disease progression.
- Provide expert consultation and guidance to healthcare providers regarding the cardiovascular management of patients with diabetes and endocrine disorders across various clinical settings, including outpatient clinics, inpatient units, and emergency departments.
- Collaborate with diabetes educators, nutritionists, exercise physiologists, and other allied health professionals to support holistic patient care and promote multidisciplinary collaboration in diabetes and cardiovascular management.
- Participate in cardiovascular risk assessment programs, diabetes management clinics, and patient education initiatives to raise awareness, improve outcomes, and enhance patient self-management skills.
- Contribute to clinical research, quality improvement projects, and interdisciplinary care pathways aimed at advancing the understanding and treatment of cardiovascular diseases in patients with diabetes and endocrine disorders.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, documentation, and reports in compliance with regulatory standards and institutional policies.
- Medical degree (MD or equivalent) from a recognized medical school.
- Board certification or equivalent qualification in Cardiology and Endocrinology (preferred).
- Fellowship training in both Cardiology and Endocrinology from accredited institutions.
- Valid medical license (DHA) to practice as a Cardiologist in Dubai, UAE.
- Proven experience working as a Cardiologist with knowledge in Diabetes and Endocrinology, preferably in an academic medical center or specialized clinic.
- In-depth knowledge of cardiovascular diseases, diabetes mellitus, and endocrine disorders, including their pathophysiology, diagnosis, treatment, and management.
- Proficiency in performing and interpreting cardiac and endocrine diagnostic tests, procedures, and interventions.
- Excellent clinical judgment, decision-making skills, and ability to manage complex cases effectively.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills, with a patient-centered approach to care.
- Commitment to lifelong learning, continuous professional development, and staying abreast of advancements in cardiology, diabetes, and endocrinology.
