We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Paraplanner to support our team of Independent Financial Advisors (IFAs). The Paraplanner will play a key role in the financial planning process by conducting thorough research, preparing high-quality reports, and ensuring compliance with UK financial regulations. This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical skills, a keen understanding of financial products, and a passion for delivering exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities :
• Research and Analysis :
• Conduct comprehensive research on financial products, investments, tax planning strategies, pensions, and other financial solutions relevant to clients' needs.
• Analyze client information, financial data, and existing portfolios to recommend suitable financial solutions.
• Report Preparation :
• Prepare detailed and accurate reports, including suitability letters, financial plans, and cash flow forecasts, tailored to individual client circumstances.
• Collaborate with IFAs to ensure that all reports align with the client's objectives and comply with regulatory requirements.
• Client Documentation :
• Assist in drafting and preparing client-facing documentation and ensure all required documents are gathered for compliance purposes.
• Liaise with providers to obtain necessary information, quotations, and policy details.
• Compliance and Regulations :
• Ensure all reports and recommendations comply with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) regulations and company compliance procedures.
• Stay up to date with changes in financial legislation and taxation, ensuring the advice provided remains current and compliant.
• Collaboration :
• Work closely with the IFAs to understand client needs and support them in delivering professional financial advice.
• Liaise with clients, as required, to clarify any details and provide updates on the progress of their financial plans.
Key Requirements :
• Previous experience as a Paraplanner or in a similar role within a financial planning or advisory environment.
• In-depth knowledge of financial products, including investments, pensions, tax planning, and protection.
• Familiarity with UK financial services regulations, especially FCA guidelines.
• Excellent analytical, research, and numerical skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
• Proficiency in financial planning software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work to tight deadlines.
Qualifications :
• Diploma in Financial Planning (DipPFS) or working towards it.
• English and Maths Skills
