This position will provide broad-based legal support across various areas of law for a business covering more than 80 countries. Reporting directly to the Legal Director, the Paralegal will work closely with the team, offering legal guidance and hands-on support, particularly in distribution and franchise agreements across multiple countries. This is a dynamic, fast-paced role that requires collaboration with the International legal team and other members of the Law Department, ensuring legal compliance and excellence in all areas.What You\'ll be Doing
Reviewing, drafting, and managing a wide range of commercial agreements, including distribution, franchise, sourcing, and marketing agreements.
Collaborating closely with the marketing team to review promotions or advertising initiatives and provide legal guidance when needed.
Supporting the trademarks team to ensure protection of brands and align with company strategy.
Working with relevant stakeholders to develop and manage a system for storing and organizing distribution agreements.
Coordinating with the corporate team to ensure compliance of legal entities across various countries.
Partnering with the ethics and compliance team to support training efforts and ensure policies are well understood across the organization.
Collaborating with business teams to clearly summarize and communicate legal concepts, helping them incorporate legal frameworks into business strategies.
Advising on legal contexts, issues, risks, approval processes, and company policies and procedures.
Contributing to regional and global law department initiatives, including projects aimed at streamlining processes, coordinating training, and developing and sharing best practices.
Specific Areas of Practice
General business, corporate, and commercial law.
Expertise in distribution, agency, and franchise agreements is essential.
Expertise in marketing law is highly recommended.
Knowledge of IP/Trademark Law, Data Privacy, and Competition Law is a plus.
Who You Are
Law degree (no qualification/bar required).
3-5 years\' experience in similar roles, preferably in FMCG or related field.
Strong grounding in contract and commercial law, particularly in distribution, agency, or franchise agreements.
Ability to manage across different time zones.
A trusted business partner, capable of building strong working relationships with all business functions.
Acts with a high level of autonomy and personal responsibility, while also being a team player, flexible, and agile in cross-functional environments.
Able to prioritize and manage a demanding, rapidly changing workload, often under tight deadlines.
