The successful candidate will be leading a team of Commissioning Engineers and reporting to the Project Manager. They will be supervising and controlling the development of pre-commissioning functions applicable to all phases of projects. Among their duties:
Preparation of specific commissioning plans for sections of work. Ensuring any potential hazards are identified and assessment of risks documented in the plans. Support the provision of input during the estimating phase of a project regarding the size of the work scope and identification of any difficulties or special requirements. With the Project Manager, develop a strategy for organizing the pre-commissioning. Liaise with the Construction Manager to establish an integrated approach to project completion and pre-commissioning. Work with the Client/Main Contractor to complete procedures, plans, method statements, and other documents required for execution of the project completion/pre-commissioning phase. Lead the preparation of commissioning procedures and methods. Assist in reviewing and monitoring all recorded and potential change orders. Work efficiently and cost-effectively while maintaining program requirements to achieve deadlines. Manage team progress in accordance with the commissioning program. Organize and train the commissioning team. Get approval from the client for process and commissioning documents as per project requirements. Review and approve System Subsystem Pre-commissioning commissioning & SAT procedures SPT Procedures. Review and approve MCC Pre-commissioning certificate, Ready for commissioning certificate, system handover certificate, and final handover certificate. Review and approve the turnover packages by gathering all testing certificates, inspection documentation, FAT and SAT reports, and punch lists report. Pre-commissioning and testing of the plant equipment under responsibility. Commissioning of individual process equipment including different types of pumps (such as Vertical Diesel Fire pumps, Centrifugal pumps, Sump pump, Dual media filter, Reverse osmosis unit, and Electro chlorination unit). Review P&IDs, flow diagrams, and flow and mass balances, and conduct hydraulic analysis. Participate in HAZOP/HAZID and risk assessments. Review the equipment sizing process input to mechanical and instrument datasheets and preparation & development of PFD/P&ID. Ensure detailed design in EPIC execution stage is optimal, safe, cost-effective, and in compliance with the latest codes and standards. Responsible for plant startup & shutdown as per the sequential operation. Responsible for plant performance (such as water quality parameters SDI, pH, Turbidity, TDS, Free Chlorine, ORP) and fine-tuning of the dosing accordingly to meet specifications. SAT & performance of the total plant and handover to client. Perform any other related duties as assigned.
