Are you passionate about working with nature and contributing to sustainable aquaculture? We are seeking a dedicated Oysterman to join our team and help manage our oyster farming operations. This role is vital in ensuring the growth, harvesting, and overall quality of our oysters while maintaining a commitment to environmental sustainability.

• Perform tasks on the farm as directed, to include production, harvest, processing, and shipment of oysters.
• Provide back-up support for other duties as needed, to include acting as a deckhand on the barge boats, cutting longline ropes and making longlines etc.
• Perform general grounds maintenance and upkeep and assist with various projects as needed.
• Complete paperwork, logs and maintain records as required.
• Demonstrate the ability to work safely and effectively in hot climates and adverse weather conditions that may be found on the boats.
• Maintain farm safety at all times; comply with company health and safety guidelines.
• Demonstrate the application of the company's values (Productivity, Efficiency, Quality, Teamwork and Openness) and promote teamwork at all times
• Other tasks deemed appropriate by the Manager.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Experience in aquaculture, fishing, or oyster farming is preferred but not required--training will be provided for the right candidate.
• Physical fitness and ability to perform labor-intensive tasks in varying weather conditions.
• Basic knowledge of marine ecosystems and aquaculture practices is a plus.
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
