SynopsisThe OSH Officer - Assurance and Compliance reports to the Manager OSH Performance to support the department in delivery of Audits, investigations and supporting the OSH compliance monitoring procedures. They are a core team member for the OSH Department responsible or delivering unbiased and factual reviews of Etihad's Safety and compliance performance and opportunities or continuous improvement on behalf of Etihad Leadership and are simultaneously relied upon for advising stakeholders on how to improve their safety and compliance performanceAccountabilities
Responsible for supporting the department by implementing the audit & inspection plan as directed by management
Delivering OSH Audits and Inspections
Conducting and supporting OSH investigations, incident follow up as directed by Management
Participating in DORA process for triaging of OSH Incidents, and hazards reported through intelex
Driving and enacting incident prevention action plans and risk mitigation strategies
Conducting Hazard Evaluations as directed by Management
Responsible for assisting to follow up on finding action plans
Supporting the compliant and effective implementation of the OSH processes and procedures ensuring compliance with the Etihad standards and all applicable local OSH standards and requirements
Reporting any an all Safety or quality concerns, occurrence and/or hazards as per the Etihad procedures
Assisting to coach and advise stakeholders how to address safety concerns and opportunities for continuous improvement.
Education & Experience
A minimum of 2 years of experience as an auditor
Completed training as a lead auditor (such as RBAQSA, BARS, ISO etc.) (Required)
Experience showing competence as a lead investigator (Highly Desirable)
Experience working in a safety or quality environment in a technical environment or industry. (Required)
Experience from Aviation or similar high-risk technical industries (advantageous)
University degree or significant OSH industry experience and training
Nebosh certificate or similar OSH qualification (Desirable)
