Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Oracle Apps DBA to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Oracle database architecture, including RAC, ASM, and Data Guard, and be proficient in managing, migrating, and upgrading Oracle E-Business Suite environments. This role involves working in both Oracle Cloud and on-premises environments, ensuring seamless operation, security, and performance of our databases and applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oracle Database Management:
• Manage and maintain Oracle databases, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
• Expertise in Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and multi-node RAC-enabled databases.
• Perform database upgrades from 11g, 12c, and 19c, including patching and performance tuning.
• Perl, Shell, Sql & PL/Sql scripting for Alerts, Monitoring, Reporting & Auditing
• Implement and maintain disaster recovery (DR) configurations for E-Business applications.
• Oracle E-Business Suite Administration:
• Upgrade Oracle E-Business Suite from R12.1.3 to R12.2, including patch analysis and application.
• Manage Oracle E-Business Suite in both Oracle Cloud and on-premises environments.
• Perform cloning of E-Business applications and databases.
• Conduct sysadmin activities such as user administration, responsibility management, request group configuration, form registration, and printer setup.
• Install, patch, upgrade, configure, tune, and maintain the Oracle E-business Suite R12 and 11g,12c and 19c Oracle databases
• Deploy code and setup changes to production.
• Participate in system administration and operational support (e.g., maintenance and support, reviewing and analysing system logs and problem reports, adds, changes, backups, and file restores) and assist in monitoring of the system's performance and capacity planning
• Evaluates and implements new technologies, products and tools used in the application development environment
• Plan for hardware and the software requirements and submit it to supervisor for review
• Prepare high level infrastructure requirement
• Backup and Recovery:
• Implement and manage RMAN for backups, including hot and cold backup strategies.
• Ensure regular monitoring and troubleshooting of backup issues, ensuring data integrity and availability.
• Performance Tuning:
• Proactively monitor databases using OEM and custom scripts to ensure optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot database locks, space management issues, and perform tuning at both database and application levels.
• Cloud Migration:
• Lead cloud migration projects for databases and applications on platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
• Ensure seamless migration with minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
• Concurrent Manager and Workflow Management:
• Configure and manage concurrent managers and workflow components, ensuring efficient processing of jobs.
• Security Management:
• Create and maintain database users, roles, and password policies in accordance with security best practices.
• Regularly review and audit database security settings.
• Additional Technical Skills:
• Experience with OBIEE, WebLogic, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, SOA,SSO, Agile, Hyperion, and GoldenGate.
• Knowledge of installation, configuration, and maintenance of multi-node RAC-enabled databases.
• Familiarity with custom application registration and managing custom applications within the Oracle E-Business Suite.

Educational Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 6+ years of Experience required.
• Oracle certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional - OCP) are highly desirable.
