Job Description

IRE seeks an experienced Operations Supervisor to oversee and manage daily service operations. As an Operations Supervisor at IRE Oil and Gas FZE, you will be responsible for ensuring operational efficiency, technical accuracy, and customer satisfaction. You will directly supervise and coordinate the activities of operational staff, monitor performance, and implement process improvements to meet company objectives.


You will collaborate with other departments, such as sales, logistics, procurement, and maintenance, to ensure smooth operations and safety and quality standards compliance. The ideal candidate has experience in the oil and gas industry, strong leadership skills, and a solid understanding of operational processes.


Responsibilities:

1. REPAIR AND OVERHAUL SERVICES:


1.1 Serve as the direct contact point for any customer or vendor technical queries.


1.2 Process service-related inquiries and quotations (inspection, repair & overhaul).


1.3 Troubleshooting technical-related issues/problems.


1.4 Provide technical support and training to the Sales department.


1.5 Oversee third-party testing and outsourced operations.


1.6 Manage the maintenance of sales inventory and workshop tools and equipment, ensuring that all calibrations and certifications are completed and compliant with relevant Industry Standards.


1.7 Ensure all documentation and certificates related to servicing are created, compiled, and delivered.

2. PEOPLE MANAGEMENT:


2.1 Collaborate on developing training programs with Partners for internal product training.


2.2 Provide coaching and mentorship to team members to support their professional growth and development.


2.3 Recruit, train, mentor, and develop the team to ensure high performance.


2.4 Collaborate with other department heads to ensure cross-functional alignment and collaboration on projects and initiatives


2.5 Monitor team performance and provide feedback on areas of improvement


2.6 Develop and implement team goals and objectives aligned with organizational objectives


2.7 Lead team meetings and facilitate open communication among team members


2.8 Set clear performance expectations and conduct regular performance evaluations

3. QUALITY, HEALTH, SAFETY, AND ENVIRONMENT:


3.1 Ensure that all service-related vendors are evaluated according to IRE's standards.


3.2 Ensure compliance within the department in line with our policies and procedures.


3.3 Develop new processes & procedures in line with business growth.


3.4 Ensure implementation and compliance of the company's QHSE management systems.


3.5 Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive health and safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.


3.6 Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards within the facility.


3.7 Ensure compliance with all local and federal health and safety regulations.


3.8 Coordinate safety training programs and employee drills to promote awareness and preparedness.


3.9 Investigate and report on all incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.


3.10 Maintain up-to-date records of safety inspections, incidents, and compliance certifications.


3.11 Collaborate with the Human Resources and QHSE departments to foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement.


3.12 Lead the facility's emergency response planning and ensure all staff are trained on emergency protocols and procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or any related field.
• Minimum 5 years experience in drilling equipment repair & maintenance.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in pre-sales and after-sales technical support.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients, address their inquiries, and resolve issues.
• Ability to articulate technical information clearly and concisely to clients of varying backgrounds.
• Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills to manage client expectations and deliver satisfactory outcomes.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to resolve operational issues.
• Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and engage teams.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
• Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks to meet operational targets.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel, Word, and Outlook).
• Familiarity with ERP systems, such as Epicor, is preferred.
• Knowledge of safety and compliance regulations in the oil and gas industry.
• Valid UAE driver's license and ability to travel as required.
