We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Operations Manager with strong leadership skills to join our team in the Oil & Gas and Equipment Manufacturing sectors. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of 15 to 20 years of experience in the UAE, with a deep understanding of the operations within the Oil & Gas industry and manufacturing processes. As the Operations Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations, ensuring optimal performance and effective execution of projects, as well as managing staff, resources, and equipment across fabrication and site execution.

This is a senior leadership position that directly reports to the Managing Director (MD) and plays a key role in the strategic growth and success of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the operational activities within the shop fabrication and site execution divisions, ensuring efficient use of resources.
• Prepare and conduct performance appraisals for staff, ensuring effective evaluation of individual and team performance.
• Manage labour utilization and overtime, ensuring optimal productivity and cost-efficiency.
• Mobilize and allocate tools and equipment for respective sites, ensuring readiness for project execution.
• Collaborate with the project team to support the effective execution of multiple projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective completion.
• Provide leadership and managerial oversight to the operations team, ensuring adherence to safety standards and operational guidelines.
• Ensure that all operations align with company objectives and industry standards.
• Staff training and development to improve skills, productivity, and operational knowledge.
• Develop and implement operational strategies for continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• Manage and resolve any operational challenges on-site, ensuring smooth workflow across projects.
• Report directly to the Managing Director (MD) on all operational activities and provide strategic guidance on improving business operations.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure the availability of resources for ongoing and upcoming projects.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, or related field).
• Minimum of 15 to 20 years of UAE experience in the Oil & Gas Division and Equipment Manufacturing industry.
• Proven leadership and managerial skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and operations effectively.
• Strong communication skills , both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization.
• Demonstrated experience in staff management , performance appraisals , and labour utilization , with a keen focus on maximizing operational efficiency.
• Strong project management skills with a focus on resource allocation, scheduling, and timely execution.
• In-depth understanding of operational processes in fabrication , site execution , and manufacturing environments.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize efficiently in a high-pressure environment.
• Experience in training and developing staff , fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools.
• Responsible for facilities inspections and reports
• Responsible for improvement and development of yard and site assets when as required

Preferred Skills:

• Previous experience in equipment mobilization for site execution.
• Knowledge of HSE standards (Health, Safety, and Environment).
• Familiarity with ERP systems and other operational software.
• Obtains and reviews price quotes for the procurement of parts , services and labour for projects
• Ability to think strategically and implement process improvements across departments.
