Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Operations Manager - Fleet to oversee and manage the daily operations of our fleet department. This role requires strong leadership and a deep understanding of fleet management, logistics, and operational efficiency. The Operations Manager - Fleet will ensure that our fleet operations are cost-effective, compliant, and run smoothly, while optimizing vehicle utilization, maintenance, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fleet Management:
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the company's fleet of vehicles, ensuring efficient and cost-effective utilization.
• Manage fleet scheduling, route optimization, and vehicle dispatch to meet operational needs.
• Monitor vehicle performance, maintenance schedules, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Budgeting & Cost Control:
• Develop and manage the fleet budget, ensuring optimal resource allocation and cost control.
• Identify areas to reduce operational costs, such as fuel consumption, maintenance costs, and logistics expenses.
• Analyze operational data to make informed decisions on fleet management and improvements.
• Maintenance & Compliance:
• Ensure that all vehicles undergo regular inspections, preventive maintenance, and necessary repairs to meet legal and company standards.
• Maintain up-to-date records of vehicle maintenance, inspections, and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Work with third-party service providers, if necessary, to ensure quality maintenance services.
• Team Leadership & Development:
• Lead and manage a team of fleet supervisors, drivers, and support staff, providing guidance and support as necessary.
• Conduct performance evaluations, training, and development programs to ensure high performance and skills development within the fleet team.
• Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.
• Safety & Risk Management:
• Ensure that all fleet operations adhere to safety standards, including driver safety, vehicle inspections, and accident management.
• Implement risk management strategies to minimize operational risks, including managing insurance, accident reporting, and resolving issues related to vehicle damage or loss.
• Reporting & Documentation:
• Prepare regular reports on fleet performance, including utilization rates, costs, maintenance schedules, and driver performance.
• Use fleet management software or systems to track, analyze, and report data on fleet performance and efficiency.
• Collaboration:
• Work closely with other departments, such as logistics, procurement, and customer service, to align fleet operations with broader business goals.
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for the procurement of vehicles and fleet-related services.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Operations Management, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
• Experience:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in fleet management, logistics, transportation, or hospitality operations in the UAE.
• Proven experience in managing large fleets, including vehicles and drivers, or similar operational roles in logistics or transportation.
• Skills & Competencies:
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• In-depth knowledge of fleet management software and other operational tools.
• Strong budget management and cost-control experience.
• Familiarity with local, state, and federal regulations regarding fleet operations and vehicle safety.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
• Certifications (if applicable):
• Fleet Management certification or similar credentials (preferred).

Working Conditions:

• Full-time position with occasional travel required for site visits or to oversee fleet operations.
• May require flexible working hours based on operational needs.
• Must be able to handle the physical demands of the role, including occasional site visits and inspections.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
