Position Overview:

As the Operations Manager, you will oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring that transportation services are delivered efficiently, safely, and on time. You will be responsible for managing the logistics team, optimizing routes, maintaining compliance with industry regulations, and improving operational processes to maximize productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and optimize daily transportation operations, including fleet management, route planning, and scheduling.

Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, legal requirements, and company policies.

Oversee and coordinate the work of drivers, staff, and subcontractors to ensure high performance.

Implement strategies for reducing operational costs and improving service delivery.

Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and customer service, to ensure customer satisfaction.

Prepare and analyze performance reports, identifying areas for improvement.

Monitor inventory and maintain accurate records of equipment and vehicle maintenance.

Manage budgets, track expenses, and handle administrative tasks.

Troubleshoot any issues that arise during transport and resolve them quickly.

Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and regulations.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Transportation, or a related field (preferred).

5+ years of experience in operations management, preferably in the transportation or logistics industry.

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Excellent problem-solving and organizational abilities.

Knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance.

Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
