DESIGN HAUS MEDY is an award-winning architecture and interior design practice based in Dubai. DHM works internationally on commissions including boutique hotels and restaurants, retail spaces and Luxury residential. As we continue to expand our portfolio and take on exciting new projects, we are on the lookout for a talented and motivated OPERATIONS MANAGER to join our creative team.

We have a preference for candidates with a European background. familiarity with European market standards, language proficiency, cultural insights.

Qualification

1. Educational Background: Bachelor 's degree in a relevant field such as Design/Engineering, administration, management can be advantageous. However, practical experience and skills are often highly valued in this role.

2. Experience: Previous experience in operations management or a related field is valuable. This could include experience in project management, team coordination, or overseeing day-to-day operations. Knowledgeable for contracts and agreements.

3. Legal Understanding: should be familiar with legal terminology, contract types, and the implications of various clauses. Should be able to assess potential risks, develop mitigation strategies, and incorporate relevant clauses into contracts to protect the company's interests.

4. Negotiation Skills: should be able to clearly articulate terms, expectations, and any changes to all parties involved.

5. Interior Design Knowledge: Familiarity with interior design concepts and processes is a MUST to understand the industry's specific challenges, timelines, and requirements.

6. Project Management Skills: Strong project management skills are crucial for an operations manager. This includes the ability to plan, organize, and execute projects efficiently, ensuring that they are completed on time and within budget.

7. Communication Skills: Should be able to convey information clearly and diplomatically with a strong personality.

8. Problem - Solving Abilities: Must possess strong problem-solving skills to address issues as they arise and find effective solutions.

9. Organizational Skills: Should be highly organized, capable of multitasking, and able to prioritize tasks effectively.

10. Leadership Qualities: Be able to inspire confidence, delegate tasks efficiently, and foster a positive working environment.

11. Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with relevant software tools for project management, scheduling, and communication can be an asset. This may include software specific to interior design or more general tools like Microsoft Office or project management software.

Duties/Responsibilities:

1. Manage the execution of interior design projects from in conception to completion.

2. Develop and implement project timelines, ensuring that deadlines are met and Allocate resources effectively to meet project requirements.

3. Lead a team of designers, project managers, and other operational staff, foster a collaborative and positive work environment and conduct regular team meetings and performance reviews.

4. Acts as a liaison between the design team and clients, communicate project progress, address client concerns, and ensure client satisfaction.

5. Manage preparing and negotiating contracts and agreements for the best interest of organization.

6. Allocate resources such as manpower, materials, and equipment efficiently and ensure that resources are utilized effectively to maximize productivity.

7. Implement and maintain quality standards for design projects, conduct regular reviews to ensure that designs meet established criteria.

8. Stay informed about relevant industry regulations and standards, ensure that the company complies with all legal requirements.

9. Oversee the implementation and use of design software and project management tools and ensure that the team is proficient in using relevant technologies.

10. Address and resolve issues that arise during projects, make decisions that balance the needs of the client, team, and company.
