Ensure a robust Health and Safety system is in place across the department including regular updates, training, and briefings exceeding group safety targets.
Ensure the use of all equipment, as well as employees actions, adhere to Health & Safety procedures, employment law standards, and Company policy at all times. Follow through forcefully on any H&S incidents within your remit and instill an attitude of continuous improvement and process excellence.
Promote and facilitate close working relationships with departments such as terminal operations, engineering, commercial and others within the group, sourcing for synergies and potential opportunities aligning with the overall group vision.
Ensure robust recruitment and induction and an ongoing development program is in place for the business services area as well as an up-to-date succession plan for key roles and key individuals.
Perform annual and half yearly staff appraisals ensuring all staff have clear and meaningful objectives.
