Job descriptionJob Role: Operations Executive (NVOCC)Job Location: Dubai, U.A.E.Job Summary:To monitor Equipment ( Container ) availability at Jebel Ali and Khalifa Port and ensure smooth handling of operation. All standing instructions issue by Messina Head Office to be followed.Job Responsibilities & Duties: * Monitoring the equipment availability at Jebel Ali and Khalifa Ports and ensure to keep sufficient containers for export booking.
Monitoring Jebel Ali and Khalifa Port FIFO activities to avoid any storage charges to Line.
Transhipment planning for Mother Vessel outbound containers and RORO cargo on feeder vessels.
Check with the Feeder Operator regarding spot rate offer for volume cargo.
Check with Feeder operator approval for Head Office inquiries regarding IMCO / RORO / OOG cargo.
Check with other region requirement plans Empty reposition accordingly with surplus stock.
Maintaining stats report for outbound and inbound container and RORO cargo through feeder vessel.
Update Feeder Vessel details in feeder manager system to interlink the COARRI file between port and Messina portal.
Coordinate with Export customers for their inquiries.
Preparing 10, 7, 5, 3 days and final booking forecast and submitting to the Manager.
Submit Mother Vessel load list and discharge list for containers.
Preparing CSV file for loading containers and RORO units on mother vessels and submitting them to Messina head office for Stowage planning.
Preparing final booking with freight report after sailing of mother vessel and submitting to manager.
Coordinate with head office and other Messina agents for their inquiries.
Follow up with the port for a disputed invoice and get a credit note to submit for principal approval.
Should be able to handle vessel operations when the vessel is at the port.
Should be able to handle immigration at the Port during vessel operations.
Job Related Competencies and Specifications:EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor degree attested by UAE ministry.
3 to 4 years of experience in the Shipping Agency in the operations department with sound knowledge of the documentation department as well.
TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
A good knowledge of shipping operations.
Good command over English communication ( Oral and written )
Excellent computer skills.
Strong critical thinking and decision making skills.
Strong ability to prioritize.
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
To be fit mentally, have good vision and be able to use your hands efficiently.
Work in an office environment using common office equipment such as computers, printers, and fax machines.
Work in In-house program like EQC System.
