Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the transportation of goods by land, sea, or air, ensuring that shipments are delivered on time and within budget. Prepare and process shipping documents such as bills of lading, invoices, and customs declarations in compliance with international trade regulations. Liaise with freight forwarders, customs authorities, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations. Act as the point of contact between customers, suppliers, and logistics teams. Monitor the movement of goods and update clients and stakeholders on delivery progress. Report and resolve any delays or issues promptly. Ensure compliance with local and international laws, including transportation regulations and safety standards. Address any operational challenges such as delays, transportation disruptions, or issues with customs clearance. Work with warehouse teams to track inventory, ensure proper storage, and manage the movement of goods through supply chains. Monitor operational costs and implement strategies to improve efficiency and reduce expenses in freight and logistics. Provide excellent customer service by resolving client queries and issues related to shipment status, delivery, or product quality.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred). 2-3 years of experience in freight or logistics operations. Understanding of transportation modes (road, sea, air) and experience with freight management systems. Strong communication, organizational, and negotiation skills. Ability to multitask and manage several shipments or projects simultaneously. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience with logistics software (TMS, WMS). Ability to identify and address operational issues quickly and effectively.
