Identifies whether staffing is sufficient and coordinates the shifts together with Supervisor Inspection/Senior Inspector. Maintains operational client contacts and provides status updates to clients where deemed necessary
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Ensures Inspectors carry-out activities in accordance with individual client instructions, Saybolt Standard procedures, Global Safety Manual, risk assessment, local standards/safety rules and Core Laboratories/Saybolt company policies
Accepts and schedules inspection and related assignments as requested by client and/or Account Manager. Ensures timely delivery of inspection reports by coordinating and managing the complete workflow between Supervisor Inspection, Inspectors, Laboratory and Office Staff
May assist with the creation of job orders for Inspectors and Laboratory when required
Identifies whether staffing is sufficient and coordinates the shifts together with the Supervisor Inspection/ Senior Inspector
Monitors timelines, provides status updates to clients and ensures inspection reports are submitted to client
Reviews Inspection and Laboratory reports/forms for completeness, appropriateness and accuracy
Maintains operational client contacts and will revert to Account Manager or Branch/Location Manager if client issue arises
May assist in the field when required
May assist in the coordination of client invoicing (e.g. write clear and accurate invoice instructions, issue invoices, and monitor invoices overdue)
May schedule and will participate in safety meeting, investigate accidents, and continually emphasize safety to all field personnel.

QUALIFICATIONS
A high school graduate or GED required; college degree preferred
Minimum 2 years of experience as an Inspector or related experience
IFIA Certified Inspector of Petroleum or equivalent in-house certification preferred
Knowledge of Petrochemical products, chemicals or other liquid cargo
Current knowledge of local inspection requirements, and the Saybolt Inspection Handbook, Manual #4A
Good verbal and written knowledge of local language and English
Interacts and communicates with Inspectors, job site personnel, clients, vessel and laboratory personnel in a proper, professional and business-like manner at all times to present Saybolt in the best possible professional light
Has attended classroom training and passed appropriate examinations for inspection work, including Right-to Know training, hazardous materials transportation, and other safety training required by applicable regulations.
Ability to perform complex mathematical calculations (e.g. compute flow rate, ratio, percentage, quantities - linear, volumetric or weight - and marine geometrical calculations)
Advanced computer skills (MS Windows, Word, Excel, company systems)
Valid driving license and satisfactory driving record
Local and out-of-town assignments are required

OTHER INFORMATION
The employee may be required (depending on location) to work irregular hours / shifts (including nights, weekends, holidays, days off).
Must be ready to accept job assignments at any time, including scheduled days off. Overtime must be worked as required and only at the approval of your immediate supervisor. Participation in the rotation of after hour dispatching activities is required.
Must be willing and able to perform field inspection work as requested safely and in accordance with applicable standards. Must be able to work in refineries, and on board marine vessels as necessary.

Saybolt requires Coordinators to meet the following physical qualifications:
Pass the drug and alcohol test specified by Saybolt for safety-sensitive employees.
Pass an annual pulmonary fitness test.
Qualify annually for respirator fit test.
Qualify annually, based on the results of an OSHA-designated blood test, for work in areas containing certain levels of hydrocarbon vapors.
Be able to safely perform inspection work while wearing required safety equipment, regardless of ambient weather conditions.
While performing the duties of this job, Coordinators may be required to stand for extended periods; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; talk or hear; and to smell. They may also be required to walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms; and to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Be able to climb storage tank ladders and stairs, typically 25 to 80 feet high, as required for any job assignment, while carrying 30 lb. of samples and/or inspection-related gear or equipment.
Be able to climb vessel gangways, ladders, Jacobs ladders and stairs, as required for any job assignment.
Be able to work in the presence of odors typical of petroleum or petrochemicals without allergic reactions or nausea when such odors are within OSHA-designated PELs.
Be able to work in confined spaces (as defined by OSHA), wearing appropriate respiratory and skin protection equipment.
Pass a physical examination by a physician designated by Saybolt, both before employment and at any time during employment upon request of Saybolt to confirm the Coordinator's ability to perform the essential job functions of the position.
