ROLE PURPOSEResponsible for the safe and legal dispatch of all company operated flights from start to finish. They are to provide the Pilot-in-Command (PIC) with an Operational Flight Plan (OFP) for each sector along with a complete weather briefing/NOTAM package for each trip. They are responsible for monitoring the in-flight progress of company operated flights.People Accountabilities

Safe and legal flight planning of all company flights, including Zero Fuel Weight (ZFW) estimation, MEL/CDL, and operating environment considerations prior to OFP computation.
\xc2\xb7 ETOPS flight planning
\xc2\xb7 Generate complete crew briefing package, i.e. an OFP for each city pair, and a complete weather and NOTAM briefing for the entire trip.
\xc2\xb7 Ensure that the PIC is provided with all information necessary for the safety of the flight
\xc2\xb7 Maintain the necessary knowledge of UAF mission procedures for the proper conduct of Operations Control and Flight Dispatch
\xc2\xb7 Enroute flight, navigation, and communication procedures, including procedures for the release or continuance of a flight if any item of airplane equipment required for the particular type of operation becomes inoperative or unserviceable enroute
\xc2\xb7 Compute the amount of fuel required for the safe completion of flight according to type of airplane, distance of flight, maintenance limitations, weather conditions and minimum fuel requirements prescribed by regulations.
\xc2\xb7 Prepare flight plans containing information such as maximum allowable take-off and landing weights, weather reports, field conditions and many other operational components required for the safe completion of the flight
\xc2\xb7 Update the PIC with significant changes to weather or flight plan and recommend flight alternatives such as changing course, altitude and, if required, enroute landing in the interest of safety and economy
\xc2\xb7 Work with the Senior Manager to write and improve on existing internal dispatch procedures
Skills
Minimum 5 years of work experience in an airline / Military operations environment. Must have good knowledge of flight planning, aircraft performance, routing, AIS documentation and have a good understanding of Aviation Regulations (GCAA/EASA/FAA/ICAO).
Awareness of current information concerning significant field conditions, route restrictions, navigational aids outage and changes in operational procedures. Familiar with aircraft specifications/limitations and aircraft configuration
High School and further education holding diplomas (UK GCSE) in a minimum of 5 subjects at grade C or above- two of the subjects must include math and physics. Plus 2 further education diplomas (UK A Level). Undergraduate holding a degree with a level 2 pass an advantage
Valid Flight dispatch license holder
Recurrency and proficiency check must be current and valid all times
ICAO level proficiency 4 for aviation language.
DGR CAT 10 Trained would be preferred.
