Job Description

• Project Management & Coordination:
• Plan and oversee the fabrication, installation, and delivery of steel structures.
• Manage multiple steel structure projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure project specifications and goals are met.
• Oversee project timelines and schedules, ensuring the timely delivery of materials, components, and equipment.
• Team Leadership & Supervision:
• Lead, manage, and motivate a team of engineers, technicians, and workers involved in the fabrication and erection of steel structures.
• Ensure appropriate staffing levels, and provide training and professional development opportunities.
• Conduct performance evaluations and manage employee productivity, addressing issues and ensuring a high level of teamwork.
• Quality Control & Safety:
• Ensure adherence to high-quality standards in the fabrication and installation of steel structures.
• Monitor production processes to identify any issues or inefficiencies, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Implement and oversee safety procedures, ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain operational safety standards.
• Resource Management & Procurement:
• Manage inventory and ensure the availability of required raw materials (steel, welding supplies, etc.) for projects.
• Work with procurement to source steel and other materials from reliable suppliers.
• Coordinate with external vendors for equipment, machinery, and services required for production and installation.
• Budget & Cost Control:
• Prepare and manage budgets for projects, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
• Monitor project costs and expenditures, aiming to minimize waste and optimize efficiency.
• Report financial status to senior management and make recommendations for cost improvements.
• Client and Stakeholder Communication:
• Maintain effective communication with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Provide regular project updates, addressing concerns and managing expectations.
• Collaborate with other departments (e.g., engineering, design) to meet customer needs and resolve any issues.
• Documentation & Reporting:
• Maintain accurate records of all operations, including production schedules, safety audits, inventory, and financial reports.
• Provide periodic reports on the progress of ongoing projects, team performance, and resource utilization to senior management.
• Ensure all legal, regulatory, and industry compliance documentation is up to date and accurately filed.

Qualifications:

• Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Professional certifications related to steel construction (e.g., Welding Certification, Safety Management, Project Management) are a plus.
• Experience:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in steel structure fabrication, construction, or a similar role, with at least 2 years in a managerial capacity.
• Experience with steel fabrication processes, project management, and team leadership.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and quality standards in the steel industry.
• Skills:
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Working Conditions:

• Hours: Typically, full-time with occasional overtime depending on project deadlines.
• Environment: Primarily on-site in a steel fabrication facility or construction site, with some office-based work for planning and meetings.

This position plays a vital role in ensuring the successful operation and delivery of steel structure projects while maintaining safety, quality, and efficiency across all stages of production and construction.

Pay: AED7,500.00 - AED10,000.00 per month
