Job Summary:



The

Operation Manager

is responsible for overseeing and managing the entire fire protection and firefighting projects and service operations. The role involves project planning, execution, budgeting, coordination, compliance, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:1. Project Management & Execution



Plan, execute, and oversee fire protection projects from initiation to completion. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Allocate resources efficiently, including manpower, materials, and equipment. Coordinate with engineers, site supervisors, and project teams to ensure smooth operations.

2. Compliance & Safety



Ensure all fire protection installations comply with UAE Civil Defense and other relevant authorities' regulations. Stay updated with local fire codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices. Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures at project sites.

3. Coordination & Communication



Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and suppliers for project requirements. Coordinate with Civil Defense and other regulatory bodies for inspections and approvals. Communicate with internal teams, including procurement, finance, and HR, to ensure smooth operations.

4. Financial & Budgeting Control



Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts for projects. Monitor project expenses and ensure cost efficiency. Approve procurement requests and supplier invoices within budget limits.

5. Team Leadership & Supervision



Lead, mentor, and manage project teams, site engineers, and supervisors. Conduct performance reviews and provide technical guidance to team members. Resolve conflicts and ensure a productive work environment.

6. Procurement & Resource Management



Approve material requests and coordinate with procurement for timely delivery. Ensure optimal utilization of resources without compromising on quality and safety.

7. Client Relations & Business Development



Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. Provide technical support to clients regarding fire protection systems and services. Identify new business opportunities and participate in tendering processes.

8. Documentation & Reporting



Maintain accurate project documentation, including reports, approvals, and logs. Submit regular progress reports to senior management. Ensure timely submission of invoices and follow up on payments.

9. Maintenance & Service Operations



Oversee fire system maintenance contracts and ensure timely service delivery. Implement preventive maintenance schedules for firefighting systems and equipment. Address client complaints and resolve service-related issues efficiently.

10. Continuous Improvement & Training



Implement best practices for operational excellence. Conduct training for staff on fire protection standards, safety protocols, and new technologies. Stay updated with industry trends and recommend process improvements.

Qualifications & Requirements:



Education:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/ Electromechanical Engineering or related field.

Experience:

Minimum

4-5 years

in fire protection, firefighting, or MEP projects, with at least

3-5 years

in a managerial role.

Certifications:

Civil Defense certification is an advantage.

Skills:

Strong leadership and project management skills. Excellent knowledge of fire protection systems (sprinklers, suppression, alarms). Familiarity with NFPA, UAE Fire & Life Safety Code, and Civil Defense requirements. Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project management software. Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Languages:

Fluent in English; Arabic is an advantage.

Driving License:

UAE driving license is preferred.

Work Environment:



Office and site-based role requiring frequent visits to project locations. Coordination with Civil Defense, consultants, and other authorities. Occasional travel within the UAE for project execution and meetings.
