Job Summary:
As the Operations Manager at IL Caffe Di Roma, you will oversee all aspects of cafe operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for managing staff, improving operational processes, monitoring inventory, and upholding the cafe's high standards. Your leadership will be key to creating a positive and productive environment, driving sales, and maintaining exceptional guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
• Staff Management:
• Supervise and lead a team of cafe staff, including baristas, servers, kitchen staff, and cleaners.
• Hire, train, and onboard new staff, ensuring they meet Gaya Cafe's standards for service and quality.
• Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and foster a positive work environment.
• Operational Oversight:
• Manage the day-to-day operations of the cafe, including opening and closing procedures, customer service, inventory management, and maintaining cleanliness and organization.
• Ensure all operational tasks are executed efficiently and to the highest standards.
• Inventory & Supply Management:
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely ordering of supplies to meet demand.
• Control waste, track product usage, and work with suppliers to ensure cost-effective purchasing.
• Financial Management:
• Assist with budgeting and managing the cafe's expenses to achieve profitability targets.
• Track sales performance and implement strategies to increase revenue.
• Prepare reports on financial performance, operational issues, and customer feedback for senior management.
• Customer Experience:
• Maintain a strong focus on customer satisfaction, addressing any complaints or issues promptly and professionally.
• Implement systems to gather feedback and continuously improve the guest experience.
• Team Collaboration & Leadership:
• Foster a collaborative, supportive team culture.
• Lead by example, setting the tone for customer service and operational excellence.
• Address staff concerns and create solutions to improve team dynamics and productivity.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management within the hospitality or foodservice industry.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
• Strong understanding of cafe operations, including inventory management, budgeting, and customer service.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and handle a fast-paced work environment.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in the foodservice industry.
• Proficient in using point-of-sale (POS) systems and other cafe management software.
Preferred:
• Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field.
• Previous experience in a high-volume cafe or restaurant setting.
• Experience with marketing and promotional activities to drive customer engagement.
