II. POSITION SUMMARY
The General Manager is accountable for the IG MEET businesses operation in Sultanate of Oman. It involves P&L responsibility and accountability for the business strategy and results in the country, including maintain a close relationship with internal and external stakeholders, leading the local package gas operation and customer services organization, collection and admin functions in the country. This role require closer interface with regional Supply Chain, Operation and Maintenance, Sales & Marketing, EH&S and HR functions in-country focus in ensure a smoothly operation and results expected. The General Manager requires to coordinate local and regional strategy with a focus to deliver the best services to our customer and manage the administrative needs for IG MEET business in Oman. Incumbent will be also responsible for managing, improving and expanding company's contacts and association with external clients, local authorities and government entities.
III, NATURE AND SCOPE
The primary role of the General Manager is to closely coordinate smooth operations, logistics, sales, customers services, collection, external affairs and business development in the company's various locations and sites in a close collaboration with the relevant regional cross functional leads. Ensuring enhancement of the profitability. efficiency and productivity of the local businesses in line with AP IG MEET business plan supporting recruiting staff and monitoring local budgets are other key performance aspect of this job. Incumbent will be responsible and accountable for smooth day to day operation running of the AP IG MEET in several operation and distribution sites in Oman, providing support to other regional functions herein. The incumbent must also maintain close ties to the markets, anticipate changing needs, advise on regional issues and have available the correct level of human and other resources to help the region understand and enhance our competitiveness. This position is also primarily responsible for leading package gas operation and maintenance, customer service support, credit collection, admin teams, handling day to day trouble-shooting and supporting business development and sales affairs.

- Over 100 direct and indirect FTEs - 9 production and reselling sites - P&L responsibility for the businesses with annual sales over $20mm
V. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
This position is accountable for the following end results:
1) Be responsible for execute cooperate QEHS & Operation polices and standards, sharing effectively, communication and well promotion & implementation of all Operation best practices on safety, customer experiences, and productivity. 2) Promote safety culture, cost control and asset optimisation culture 3) Profitably growing the Industrial Gases business portfolio Oman and maintaining or achieving key market and segment positions in the geography ahead of our direct competitors 4) Responsible for implementing company policies and strategies in Oman in close coordination with the regional office and cross functions leads. 5) Act as liaison with regional management and function leads and support corporate related affairs prior to committing the company to obligations within authorized limits. 6) Directly lead in-country Package Gas Operation and Maintenance, CSO, Debt Collection, Credit Control and Admin teams and ensure applying corporate policies and practices to these functions. 7) Lead the coordination with the regional commercial, operational excellence, logistics and business development for all in-country operational activities. 8) Act as liaison with corporate service centers to ensure accurate reporting, updates, change management and analysis of local businesses performance 9) Supervise preparation, evaluation and reporting of local key performance indicators ensuring application of changes, improvements and adherence to annual targets. 10) Manage relationship with government owned or related customer and provide timely advise to the cross function leads 11) Responsible for developing sound relationships with stakeholders, customers, partners, agents and community in order to gain mutual benefits 12) Enhance company image by collaborating with customers, government, community organizations, and employees; and enforcing ethical business practices. 13) Increases regional management's effectiveness by supporting employees orientation, training, communication values, strategies, and objectives; Identify business and marketing opportunities, presenting analysis, and recommending actions. 14) Coordinates efforts with other cross function leads to ensure business success and contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. 15) Maintain accurate records of competition activities and techniques and inform the Regional Management accordingly. 16) Representing the company and acting as a core member of the regional leadership teams to ensure representation of AP IG MEET interests, understanding of regional issues and active participation in regional initiatives in support of company objectives.
V. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
· Educated to degree level or equivalent and achieved business, engineering, production management, supply chain or equivalent. · Ten years plus in a similar role with P&L experience or business development/ commercial roles · Very familiar with Oman /Middle East regulations · Strong Management Skills · Good Field Operations experience · Process and System improvements · Arabic and English languages fluently spoken · Demonstrates adaptability and flexibility to work into a changing business · Strong interpersonal skills · Excel in Communication within and cross teams
