Job TitleOH DoctorBusinessENOCJob PurposeTo assist the Senior Medical Compliance Officer to develop, implement and deliver occupational health services and related health educational programs to ENOC and its affiliates. The Occupational Health Practitioner is responsible for promoting and maintaining the health, safety, and well-being of employees in the workplace. OH, practitioner assesses and manages occupational health risks, provide medical care for work-related injuries and illnesses, and develop preventive programs to enhance employee health and productivity. The Occupational Health Practitioner collaborates with other healthcare professionals to create a safe and healthy work environment.Principal AccountabilitiesDevelop and implement occupational health programs and policies that comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Conduct comprehensive occupational health assessments to identify and evaluate workplace hazards, including physical, chemical, biological, and psychosocial factors.
Conduct health surveillance programs, such as pre-employment medical examinations, periodic health assessments, and monitoring of occupational exposures.
Carry out clinical evaluations to determine fitness for work, work relatedness of health disorders and provide advice on effective individual management strategies to maintain a safe and effective workforce.
Collaborate with BUs to develop and implement effective return-to-work programs for employees recovering from injuries or illnesses.
Collect process and evaluate occupational health data of the employees to determine the business risks and program.
Maintain awareness of technological, legal, and professional issues and changes associated with occupational health and safety and utilize this, along with internal and external resources, to achieve clinical and educational best practice.
Educate ENOC employees on health issues to improve their general health and wellbeing, and to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of ENOC Occupational Health Services.
Conduct health education and training sessions for employees on topics such as workplace safety, stress management1 and health promotion.
Educates Occupational Health Services staff to improve and maintain understanding of issues relevant to the services being delivered to the business and the techniques required to carry out the health evaluations.
Conducts periodic OH audits of ENOC group companies as directed by SMCO and provides feedback to the Business units for implementing necessary improvement programs. Follow-up on such actions until closure.
Collaborate with occupational safety professionals and human resources personnel to ensure effective integration of occupational health and safety practices.
Maintain accurate and confidential medical records for all employees in compliance with relevant privacy regulations.
Stay updated on emerging trends, research, and best practices in occupational health to continuously enhance the quality of care provided.
Provides the "health" input into other relevant business activities (e.g., incident investigation, risk management programs, Wellness initiatives etc.) to optimize their effectiveness in terms of their impact upon the health and wellbeing of ENOC employees.Additional Principal AccountabilitiesExperienceEducational Requirements:
Certified Physician, graduated from a recognized medical institution.
Licensed by DHA as Specialist Occupational Medicine to practice within Dubai.
Must hold MFOM / FFOM from RCPE or RCPIProfessional Experience:
At least 10 years\' experience in medicine with excellent clinical skills to assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of occupational health conditions.
At least 5 years\' experience working in the industry with strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations, guidelines, and best practices.
Proven experience in conducting occupational health assessments and managing work- related injuries and illnesses.
Meet the competency requirements as per ENOC Competency profile.
Good computer literacy (including MS Word, MS Excel, and PowerPoint)
Proficient in using electronic medical record systems and other relevant software applications with good analytical skills both in terms of data analysis and investigative analytical skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with employees, employers, and other stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and make sound medical judgments in a fast-paced environment.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying abreast of advancements in occupational medicine.
