Make your mark as an Offshore Geotechnical Driller at Horizon Geosciences!

As an offshore geotechnical driller, you are responsible for operating the drilling rig and support units, the safe and timely completion of the drilled hole, and provides direction and leadership to the roughnecks on all drilling related operations. He will also direct and control the mud mixing and hole sampling and testing activities and ensure these operations are carried out safely, in a timely manner, and to a high standard of which is expected of all Horizon personnel.

Your responsibilities as an offshore geotechnical driller

• Ensure the accurate recording of hole depth, including sample and testing depths
• Interpret, understand, and respond to downhole drilling conditions.
• Any down time mechanical, weather etc. must be accurately recorded in the driller\xe2\x80\x99s log
• Provide active participation in the form of adherence to and improvement of the company\xe2\x80\x99s integrated management system.
• Mobilization and de-mobilization of drilling rig and related equipment

Your qualities and experience
You can make your mark as an offshore geotechnical driller if you have:

• Minimum 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in the geotechnical drilling industry.
• Familiar and competent in the use of the drilling equipment and associated equipment.
• Understand drilling fluids and additives.
• A good understanding of various geotechnical sampling and testing techniques.
• Fluent in written and spoken english
• Computer literate

• Your team: You will be part of the geotech drilling department.
• Where you will work: You will be working offshore for our projects, which are mainly located across the Middle East, Far East, and Europe.
• Fulltime/ part- time job: The position of geotechnical driller is a full-time job.
